INSTRUCTIONAL OBJECTIVES
MYTHOS

THE STUDENT WILL:

1. UNDERSTAND
how the philosophical foundations of the western world were changed in the twentieth century.

2. EXPLAIN
the foundational ideas for the twentieth century, as described by Schaeffer, Schumacher and Toffler.

3. DESCRIBE
four popular manifestations of these new ideas: Humanism, Hedionism, Materialism and Existentialism, and visualize how these ideas have influenced contemporary morality and life styles.

4. CONSIDER
the historic viability of the Christian principles which once underpinned Western Civilization.
